About

Sacred Texts

Mission

Sacred Texts exists to help readers engage Scripture with greater depth and clarity by providing structured commentary and contextual insight. The goal is a reading experience that takes the text seriously — historically, theologically, and spiritually.

What Sacred Texts Provides

  • Verse-cluster commentary organized by passage and theme
  • Historical and theological context for every chapter
  • Cross references throughout Scripture to surface connections across the canon
  • Interpretive traditions to help readers understand different Christian perspectives

How the Commentary Is Produced

Sacred Texts uses modern language models and structured editorial review workflows to generate its commentary. Each annotation is produced against a defined theological framework and reviewed for accuracy and coherence before publication.

The goal is not to replace traditional scholarship but to organize and present theological insights in an accessible, structured format. Commentary draws from established interpretive traditions and is intended as a study tool, not a substitute for authoritative theological sources.

Theological Position

Sacred Texts initially presents commentary through a Catholic interpretive lens, including attention to the full Catholic canon. Future versions of the platform will add additional interpretive traditions, including Protestant perspectives, so readers can engage the same text from multiple vantage points.

Sacred Texts is not affiliated with any church, diocese, or denomination. All commentary should be treated as a study aid — readers are encouraged to engage their own traditions, pastors, and theological sources alongside what is offered here.
