Old Testament
Psalms 98
Cosmic Jubilee Before the Divine Judge
Overview
Psalm 98 moves from Israel's celebration of Yahweh's saving deeds — fulfilling his covenant of loving-kindness and faithfulness before all nations — through a summons to all the earth to praise him with harp, trumpet, and ram's horn, to a final call for the whole non-human cosmos to join the jubilant chorus before the Lord who comes to judge the earth with righteousness and equity.
